    Csaba Horváth Memorial Symposium - Poster Submission Details **Deadline extended to Aug. 15th**

    On September 24th, 2014, the Connecticut Separation Science Council (CSSC), the Connecticut Mass Spectrometry Discussion group (CTMSDG) and the Hungarian Society for Separation Sciences will be hosting the Csaba Horváth Memorial Symposium. The symposium is planned to start at 8:30 a.m. and will run until approximately 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Yale University West campus in Orange, CT. The symposium will include podium presentations and a Poster Session. Two $500 awards will be awarded for outstanding student posters. Dr. Joseph Jack Kirkland will be the keynote speaker. He will be presented with the 2014 CSSC Csaba Horváth Medal for his outstanding achievements in liquid chromatography.

     

    The poster or oral presentation content should describe practical applications of separation science or mass spec applications in an academic, pharmaceutical, industrial or environmental discipline.  The deadline for submitting an abstract is Aug 15th.  Any abstracts received after August 15th will be considered for a poster presentation, however the abstract will not be included in the program.  All submissions will be reviewed by the symposia committee.  You will be notified by September 1st as to poster or oral session agenda placement.  Final poster size must be no larger than 48"x 48".  At least one author must be present at the symposium.  Please see the attached guidelines prior to submitting an abstract.

    Poster Session Guidelines and Disclaimers:

    • The deadline for poster submission is Aug 15, 2014.   An abstract, in Microsoft Word® format suitable for publication, must be received by this date to the email above in to be included in the program.

    • Abstracts received after August 15th may be considered for inclusion in the symposium as a poster.

    • The poster must fit in the space provided (48" X 48"’).

    • No direct sales presentations are allowed!

    • The CSSC reserves the right to reject any poster at any time.

    • All authors who attend the symposium must register for the symposium separately. At least one author must be present at the symposium.

    • The CSSC reserves the right to cancel the poster session due to low turnout.

    • All authors must be aware that this is a PUBLIC forum, and all information included in the posters and abstracts must be approved for public dissemination. It is that author’s responsibility to secure the approval of all intellectual property holders prior to participation in the poster session.
